These Platypus’ have been created by a master jeweller/sculpturer who works in the wonderful materials of bronze and sterling silver.
He captures the essence of the country’s landscape and its unique birds and animals. With attention to
detail he captures the charm of the shy platypus and with the utilisation of natural resources such as stones and pebbles washed smooth by oceans and rivers, forming the bases for many of his small sculptures.
During the day, a Platypus will rest in a burrow at the bank of a river or lake and may spend some hours near the entrance to the burrow basking in the sun and grooming its dense fur.
